Child's Play by the Bay - Where Playing is Learning

In February, Child’s Play by the Bay will be participating in Pajama Program's Open Your Heart Campaign.  The Pajama Program provides new, warm pajamas and new books to children in need in the United States, and around the world, many who are waiting to be adopted.  The public is invited to bring in a donation of new pajamas and/or a new children’s book to Child’s Play. Pajamas need to be new, unused, and a complete set or a nightgown. All sizes being accepted (infant - adult).  All donations must be dropped off by Monday, February 22nd. 



Child's Play by the Bay has supported several organizations by donating to their auctions or providing fundraising assistance including: Delaware Children’s Museum, March of Dimes, Center for the Inland Bays, Beebe Medical Center, The Children's Beach House. 


The concept of community and giving to those in need is an essential part of our curriculum.  Child's Play visits Cadbury at Lewes (assisted living and skilled nursing community) several times a year to celebrate holidays with the residents. We also participate in UNICEF Trick-or-Treat coin collecting, the Great American Bake Sale,  canned food drive for Cape Henlopen Food Basket, winter hat drive for the SmartStart Health Kids program for the State of Delaware and the Christmas Joy Program with Epworth Church in Rehoboth.


 

Child's Play also supports the MOMS Club of Rehoboth Beach Area, DE.
